Ty Clancey

Ty is a Clio Award-winning director whose work spans commercials, documentaries, digital series, and international award-winning short films and TV episodes. Born and raised in Iowa, his early credits include Jimmy Kimmel Live and King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. 

Ty gained global recognition with the comedy team “Lost Nomads” featuring Josh Gad. Recently, Ty won two Clio Gold Awards and three Promax Golden Statues for his commercial and promo work. In 2024, his short psychological thriller Drawn—which he wrote, produced, directed, and edited—earned multiple accolades, including Best Director at the Toronto Independent Festival of CIFT. Ty is known for his distinct comedic style, blending dynamic visuals, immersive storytelling, and elegant problem-solving, all served with a healthy helping of Midwestern charm.
